Speech Pathology & Supervision
Building Bridges for Connection and Belonging
Services
Supervision
I provide reflective, values-based supervision that supports your growth as an authentic, confident clinician. With 27 years’ experience and a neurodivergent lens, I offer a warm, collaborative space to explore, unpack, and evolve your practice.
Autism Assessments
I provide compassionate, collaborative assessments with the combined experience of a Psychologist and a Speech Pathologist. We specialise in subtle or more complex presentations of Autism. We aim to support parents every step of the way and provide clear, helpful guidance for what comes next.

I offer warm, personalised therapy that begins with building strong, trusting relationships. I support children and their families to grow real-life communication, social connection, and self-understanding. My approach respects and affirms neurodiversity, recognising the strengths in all brain types.
Parenting Programs
I offer gentle evidence-based support to strengthen parent-child connection. I currently offer the Circle of Security™ Parenting program and drawing on decades of experience in communication, regulation, and relationship-based practices.
Meet Meg Engel
Senior Speech Pathologist
Hi I’m Meg!
I have over 27 years of experience working in a wide range of settings. This includes universities (in both teaching and clinical education), outreach services, hospitals, mental health, mainstream and special schools, community health, and disability services. For the past 14 years, I’ve been working in private practice.
I work with both children and adults who have challenges with speech, language, developmental delay or disability, autism, literacy, and social interaction. I’m a trained facilitator for several Hanen programs including It Takes Two to Talk, More Than Words, and Talkability.
I have a special interest in supporting people with complex communication needs, including those who use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). I also have extensive experience working with autistic young people who find social and emotional environments challenging, particularly those who are also gifted (twice or thrice exceptional).
Over the years, I’ve facilitated a range of parent programs, including Tuning into Kids and Parent-Child Mother Goose. I’ve also taught yoga to both children and adults and led mindfulness programs for kids.
I’m passionate about helping children, families, and people with differences or disabilities live full, happy, and connected lives. I believe deeply in creating spaces where people feel they belong.
I’m committed to lifelong learning and regularly update my skills through ongoing professional development.

Supervision
I love learning and I love sharing that passion with others. With 27 years of experience as a speech pathologist across diverse settings including mental health, adult rehabilitation, university clinical education, hospital management, parenting programs, and neurodiversity-affirming practice. I bring a genuinely holistic perspective to supervision.
My style is warm, creative, reflective and collaborative. I offer a safe space where every idea is welcome, no matter how unconventional it might seem at first. Together, we’ll explore challenges and possibilities until you find insights that truly resonate with your work and values.
Supervision with me is about:
Connection
Seeing and supporting you as a whole person, not just a clinician.
Exploration
Asking bold, curious questions to uncover what matters most to you and your clients.
Growth
Helping you develop an authentic clinical voice and the confidence to use it.
Integration
Weaving your values, knowledge, and unique way of working into a coherent practice. Giving you clean actionable ideas.
FAQs:
Do I need a Speech Pathologist?
Generally, if you or someone else has concerns about your child’s development, then ‘yes’. Booking an initial consultation allows you time to discuss your concerns and to work out if an assessment is necessary. This can be commenced during the initial consultation if it is clear that this is the best way to proceed.
What does a Speech Pathologist do?
A Speech Pathologist is a health professional who helps people with speech, swallowing, language, literacy and social interaction difficulties or differences. Speech Pathology can be provided to anyone of any age. It is particularly important in the first 6 years of life but can benefit people at many different life stages.
Where are you located?
I offer in clinic services in Yackandandah. My office is great clients who may need indoor and outdoor regulation spaces, or who need a relaxed non-medical environment.
I currently provide mobile services to Albury-Wodonga, Myrtleford, Beechworth and Wooragee. I am able to travel to some other locations on request. Please contact me to discuss your needs.
Am I able to claim services through Medicare or private health insurance?
Possibly – your private health insurance needs to have extras cover for Speech Pathology.
You may also wish to discuss your eligibility for a chronic health care plan (formerly known as Enhanced Primary Care Plan) with your child’s GP. This allows you 5 Medicare subsidised visits.
Do you accept NDIS funding?
Yes, but I only see participants that are self-managed.
What if I want a team based approach?
Some people may believe that a team-based approach towards their child’s development is only possible if they receive services from a larger organisation.
I work collaboratively with a range of other health care professionals and have partnerships with therapists that include Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Social Workers.
