Supervision

Building Bridges for Connection and Belonging

I love learning and I love sharing that passion with others. With 27 years of experience as a speech pathologist across diverse settings including mental health, adult rehabilitation, university clinical education, hospital management, parenting programs, and neurodiversity-affirming practice. I bring a genuinely holistic perspective to supervision.

My style is warm, creative, reflective and collaborative. I offer a safe space where every idea is welcome, no matter how unconventional it might seem at first. Together, we’ll explore challenges and possibilities until you find insights that truly resonate with your work and values.

Supervision with me is about:

Connection

Seeing and supporting you as a whole person, not just a clinician.

Exploration

Asking bold, curious questions to uncover what matters most to you and your clients.

Growth

Helping you develop an authentic clinical voice and the confidence to use it.

Integration

Weaving your values, knowledge, and unique way of working into a coherent practice. Giving you clean actionable ideas.

Meg’s Training & Experience

Meg Engel, Senior Speech Pathologist in Yackandandah

Senior Speech Pathologist

Formally trained in Michelle Bihary’s supervision model and backed by years of clinical education and business ownership, I can help you navigate everything from complex clinical decisions to ethical dilemmas, business strategy, and the emotional labour of supporting families.

In today’s landscape, especially with the wonderful but rapid rise of the neurodiversity movement, many clinicians find themselves hearing more about what not to do than what we can do to really equip people of all ages to meet the demands of the world in a neurodiversity affirming way. Together, we’ll translate evolving best practices into concrete, affirming strategies that meet your clients’ needs and sustain you professionally.

My goal is for you to leave each supervision session not just with answers for today but with tools, perspectives, and energy that shape how you practise every day. Expect to walk away empowered, grounded, and inspired to keep growing as the clinician you want to be.

Some of the learnings that you can draw on in sessions are from the extensive professional development Meg has completed.

Supervision Packages

I know that different levels of experience call for different kinds of support. Whether you’re just starting out or have been practicing for years, we can find a supervision approach that suits you.

I support speech pathologists who are:

  • Early in their careers and looking to build confidence
  • Working on their own and feeling the need for connection
  • Based rurally or remotely with limited peer access
  • Navigating complex clinical or ethical situations
  • Seeking external supervision because of a skillset or personality mismatch, or simply needing a fresh perspective

I can offer a safe, knowledgeable, and understanding space to grow and reflect.
